We are now official after our first meeting. Below is our list of books for the year. We will be meeting every other month and we will be sending out a schedule of meeting nights in the near future. In the meantime, we wanted to get to everyone a list of the books we will be reading. All are invited to join whenever you would like; just jump right into the reading list and come to the next meeting.
February: “T” is for Trespass - by Sue Grafton - Kinsey Millhone must contend with a woman who has stolen a nurse’s identity in order to take advantage of Kinsey’s elderly neighbor.
April: Deception Point - by Dan Brown - An intelligence analyst is sent to the Artic on a special assignment by the White House.
June: Firefly Lane - by Kristin Hannah - A friendship between two women in the Pacific Northwest endures for more than three decades as they make different choices in their lives.
August: Reading Lolita in Tehran - by Azar Nafisi - In this extraordinary memoir, their stories become intertwined with the ones they are reading. "Reading Lolita in Tehran" is a remarkable exploration of resilience in the face of tyranny and a celebration of the liberating power of literature.
October: Change of Heart - by Jodi Picoult - Picoult bangs out another ripped-from-the-zeitgeist winner, this time examining a condemned inmate's desire to be an organ donor.
December: The Brooklyn Follies - by Paul Auster - whirlwind tale of one man's accidental redemption.
